Mastering the Library
Are you new to the Lutheran HealthCare?  Confused about how to use the Library?   This is one hour  workshop that will help you to "survive" in the information jungle.  Look up information in the online catalog, including locations of books and journals.  Explore electronic journal and book subscriptions.  Learn how to request articles via interlibrary loan and how to recommend a book or journal for purchase to the Library.

PubMed
This one hour class is designed for medical, dental, nursing, and other health professionals on the features and techniques needed to search NLM's PubMed.  PubMed was developed by the National Center for Biothechnology Information(NCBI) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), located at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  It was developed in conjunction with publishers of biomedical literature as a search tool for accessing literature citations and linking to full-text journal articles at web sites of participating publishers.  The database covers more than 4,600 US and foreign biomedical, nursing, dental, and health administration journals and goes back to to the mid of 1960's.

The class includes a demo session and hands-on practice.  One CME credit is offered to those taking the class.
